Sunflower Granola Bars
The granola bars are perfect for a spring snack. Made with both sunflower seeds and sunflower butter you benefit from vitamins E, B and loads of essential fatty acids. Enjoy these sweetened or unsweetened for an equally satisfying energizer.
Makes 12 small bars
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 Tbsp chia seeds
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 banana or 1/2 cup apple sauce
- 3/4 cup sunflower butter
- 1 Tbsp honey or agave (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, mashing the banana as you combine. Press the mixture into a lightly greased, 6" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until crispy on the outside and still soft in the middle.
Slice into small bars and enjoy!
