DIY Diaper Cream
Eloquently named "baby butt butter", this thick and soothing lotion will eliminate diaper rash, abrasions and irritation. It has a natural SPF and is made with 100% natural and nourishing ingredients that you will feel great using on your little one. Every ingredient used in this recipe helps to both prevent and treat diaper irritation and sooth the most sensitive skin!
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup shea butter
3 Tbsp beeswax, grated
4 Tablespoons zinc oxide powder
2 Tablespoons bentonite clay
10 drops lavender oil
Mix coconut oil, olive oil and shea butter together in a mason jar. Place the jar in a saucepan that is filled with 2 inches of water. Add beeswax and bring the water to a boil, allowing the double boiler to heat the oil.
Once the oils and beeswax are entirely melted and combined, remove from the heat.
Add the zinc, clay and lavender. Stir well to combine. Allow to cool, stirring occasionally to achieve a smooth texture. Alternatively allow to cool entirely and whip in a food processor.
This makes an amazing gift. Especially as part of a full new baby package, seen below.
